Due to a shortage of infant and children’s acetaminophen (Tylenol®) and ibuprofen (Advil®) liquid and chewable tablets, parents may consider splitting and/or crushing adult tablets and mixing with a small amount of juice, apple sauce, or pudding for use. Note that any extended-release products that are dosed every 8 hours or more (i.e. Tylenol Arthritis®) should NOT be crushed or given to children.
